FAQ
Before sending for data recovery
What about my hard disk warranty? Will my warranty be void after the service?
If your failure is a logical one, we do not even need to open up your media to do recovery. In the case of hard disk with physical damage, we have to open up the hard disk in our clean lab in order to perform recovery. At the end of the job, we will place our lab seal to verify that ADRC has performed the necessary recovery work on the disk. Normally there is no issue in warranty claim and if need be, we will produce a lab report to facilitate the warranty claim.
However, being just a data recovery service provider, ADRC could not guarantee the hard disk warranty issues and policies which come from the hard disk manufacturers directly.
Note: Under our arrangement with Apple Service Centre, if you mac computer system is still under warranty, you will need to send the damaged computer system to the Apple Service Centre first. The Apple Service Centre will do first level check and then help you to take out the damaged hard disk before you pass it to us.
