FAQ

Before sending for data recovery

Why is data recovery so expensive?

Data recovery is a professional service. Proper skills, experience, knowledge and proper equipment, spare parts and special working environment are needed.

Here’s a basic checklist of what are needed: Class 100 clean lab, clean lab coats, spare parts (very hard to come by and may date back to more than 10 years), proprietary hardware tools, soldering skills, electrical and electronic knowledge, know-how of hard disk technology etc.

There are of course many data recovery companies whose capabilities are nothing more than the use of some commercial software and may offer a lower price based on scenario of logical failure. However, they are not suitable for all situations and will cause permanent damage to your lost data.

We believe our recovery service is reasonably priced for the kind of value and expertise we offered.
