Is the original media sent in for data recovery still usable after you have done the recovery?

For disk with logical failure, the media is still usable. But if the problem arises due to some bad sectors, it is advisable not to use the media again to avoid the re-occurrence of this problem.

For hardware failure, the drives are entirely unusable as the hardware components are already damaged. Although we will be able to retrieve the data, we do not provide the service to repair damaged hard drives.
